BIG BAND

Post-Punk
Polite is a band that poses a question. Not something spelled out to the listener but rather throws the chaos of the working class in your face. “Punk was a movement made to offend Polite culture”and while not being overly nostalgic the 10 songs on their debut LP do just that. It harkens back to that sentiment all the while bringing that sound somewhere new, avoiding cliches within a technological and bleak corporate landscape , ultimately it aims to disrupt the status quo while holding intact the bands lofi sound, and DIY values. With brutal instrumentals, social political themes Not for the faint of heart it begs the question is it commodified revolution or just someone going through their day to day with a hook or two thrown in there for good measure to drive the point home ?
